Living with shadows of ghosts
that haunt only the memories
of houses long lost to the fires of the world.
Hearing echoes of whispers
that live only on the wind
of words that were never spoken out loud anyhow.
Sleeping on promises of dreams
that saw only the darkness
of the night that does not exist anymore for me.
