mighty magnificent

by Stephanie Myers

Great wings span across the sky,
blotting out the sun,
casting shadows where shadows do not play.

The glistening of his chain mail armor casts,
diamond glitters upon the wind swept grass,
that dances beneath his fiery wrath.

a creature of yore, of now, of dreams

fire and mighty smoke bellow from his
breath as he chooses which to take and
make his meal tonight

run
scatter
hide

A miraculous wonderment of mythology,
sweeps through the tendrils of your soul,
grasping onto clinging life.

Human nature devoured from the times of the,
seers, wizards, and sorcerers.

poor girl thrusted against the posts

blood raining down like a sunday afternoon
storm as the clouds sweep past her eyes dipped in
a terror solution

Another day sooner, another day calmer, another day for the,
man who need not worried for his seed spilled,
upon the laced bodice of his mistress of the night.

Taking flight once again-appetite satiated,
the fire in his eyes and upon his breast,
this magnificent creature of nightmares escapes,
like a fleeting memory.
