10,000 Secrets ('never forget.')

by Trisha De Gracia

If you could only feel
look of your smile
and the glitter that poured from your eyes
when you told her those ten thousand secrets
some ten thousand times
and said to her
'never forget.'

Do you see it there?
She knows you deep inside.
Forget about the whispered words,
she'd scream them from the rooftops,
don't you see?
She knows you.
Without words
without comment or comprehension.
It doesn't matter how or why
or why still,
she just does.
Your transparencies are crystal to her.
You're naked to the scrutiny,
and blind to the only thing that matters.

If you could only touch her once again
the way I know you did some lifetimes back,
then maybe, possibly
you could just pretend to understand
and she could just pretend that you still feel the way you felt
before your ten thousand secrets became public knowledge
And no one would let her
not ever
forget it.

Author's Note: When you see it, reach for it. If you don't you never get it. When you don't reach, your arm becomes useless and then reaching isn't even a possibility. Reach at the wrong time and you lose your arm totally. Reach at the right time and you might grasp it, but you still might drop it. Reach with perfect timing, grasp it, and you may forget your holding it. Then there's the chance of reaching, grasping, holding, and having it work for you. Or maybe reaching just isn't your thing, just not for you. All things considered, is it still better to reach?

God I'm a weirdo, lol...

weirdo's write the best poetry. You really describe quite well how the girl feels in this. This line, "You're naked to the scrutiny, and blind to the only thing that matters." is amazing. I'm in love with it.

here here! the word play and rip-you-open-with-my-words honesty rings forth far too well. there are some weakspots, but overall, this ish a definite keeeeeper.
