Presence by Scott CadenceYou woke up from a dead sleep
Looking quickly to the door, the window, and then over to me
I saw the relief in your body
as you laid your frame back down
It was too dark to tell that I wasnt sleeping
that I witnessed how fragile you are from dreams
And now your actions have me up and writing again
Amazed that something so simple so human
Can bring back this much
How safe we feel in one-anothers arms
And I am given a chance to witness it
