preface to a lovers dream

by Daryl Fein

wrapped in your velvet amour shawl,
I am waiting here for you,
nonsensical prowess,
patient and loving,
I hoped we could face one another tonight,

so I can abscond with you,
and venture to the mountain side,
we'll picnic as maudlin partners,
while we overlook the valley of our mother,
and for once, we'll be happy,
alone,
together,
lost cryptic lovers,

and this valley is ours tonight,
to laugh at the sky,
dissuading our pain,
crying for you to lower you're defenses,

and this valley is OURS tonight.

it's a shame the person wastes this adoration of her. Beautiful writing.
