rooms; taking residence by Travis G FinborgFeeling like words in a dark room A room full of a computer carcasses Monitor after monitor piled On top of the broken rectangled Cpu's A musty room and on the floor A decomposed rat It smells of insulation The fiberglass type Pink and itchy Casting about I search for the evil inside The dark hole Where everything seems to fail To escape from Only to find another room This one more somber and less exciting A bed and a couch This is where I spend my hours My valuably irreplaceable hours Laying prone staring at a television And dreaming of love And talking to ex-girlfriends I am so far away from it all Its getting colder outside The onset of winter A time of solitude when I no longer Need an excuse to stay bottled up in side My drab little room full of books And cardboard boxes.

The dark hole
Where everything seems to fail (i thought that said, fall, oops, but i still think it's a great, memorable line)....i love the way you describe yourself through searing and uncomfortable image, a rotting rodent, the fiberglas, itch, itch, very effective. |
