American Idle by Robert Cameron HazeltonPlease dont bug me, cant you see
Im living out my fantasy,
this glowing box enables me
to do it quite vicariously.
Sometimes I look inside my head
but all my thoughts seem to have fled
so I just lie here in this bed
watching my favorite show instead.
Such stark realities they transmit-
I believe every word of it!
Remote concern is a prerequisite
in order to accept this shit.
Waiting to be told if I should care
or what cool fashions I can wear,
my life is lost in disrepair
as I sit and blankly stare.
