Looking back
across the span of twenty some odd years
filled with days
that melt elegantly into and out of each other now.
Looking back
over the past eight years or so
at memmories
which are finally becoming no more than that.
Looking back
at the last year or so
and realizing
how much things have changed so quickly.
Looking back
a short nine months
and seeing
for the first time how happy I truly can be.

Author's Note: I always maintained the idea that if you are always looking back you'll never know what just happened. Yet today I find myself looking back across time and remembering old emotions and old memmories and old moments. Nostalgia can be dangerous if it goes on too long.
