Cherries by S.J. TylerI love maraschino cherries
She says its a terrible metaphor
That I love to steal everyones cherries
Yes, Im a glutton
But I want to collect them all
And slurp them down
Lick my lips
So that the artificial red sugar liquid
Doesnt slurp down my chin
For a metaphor
It doesnt quite fit
The sugary red doesnt look a thing
Like blood
And thats what they meant by cherries
Isnt it?
Screw intellectualism
Searching for links between everything
Theyre yummy
I said Id continue to go around popping-
I mean eating them, anyway
She got me two jars 10/26/2003 Posted on 10/26/2003 Copyright © 2024 S.J. Tyler
