She swings her hips
in that comatose fashion
a cigarette keeps drifting from
crimson lips back to her waist
where it hangs like a scarecrow
from two placid fingers.

And she gives him a throaty laugh,
that sounds more like metal upon metal colliding
And I can't help wondering if he'll fall
for her signature cherry lips and fishnet stockings.

"Yeah, shes gorgeous,
but all she wants is someone,
anyone, to cling to at night
a body that isn't plastic or even
half as fake as the empty expression
filling in the shadows of her dirty mouth."
