i saw the rocks as they cried....

by Melinda Sordino

i saw the rocks
as they cried for you
they wept their wetness
onto your lovely bare,
broken shoulders where
the blood's red has
a striking contrast to
the pale skin like the
stillframe
..black
....and
......white
of the man who
haunts my dreams and
asks for the life
i cannot spare like
the man on the street
who asks for my change
and i wonder if
he has somewhere to go
at night
..and if anyone
....really
......ever
........loved him
or if anyone knows what
real love feels like
but we pass him by
never dropping our dimes
and hoping that we
will not befall
the
..same
....fate.

Author's Note: the dots are supposed to be spaces or tabs, but not being on top of programing, i can't seem to make it do that for me....so the dots are just placeholders and not in the original poem

I love the themes here...nature intertwined with humans- and the dualities of humans. It's interesting the people we see on the street, and sometimes how their faces, or unknown stories stick with us. Nicely done.
