Triple Night Stand by Beth K HannahLittle train tracks of blood
Drip down my spine
I twist and turn in the mirror
To seek their beginning and end.
Such a heavenly scar will replace
These lust given wounds.
I dig for medicine and bandages,
And let my mind take me back...
...Carnal lust tore through the sheets
Silk brushed my thighs
Painting every inch of me into a broken dove.
As my breath grew quicker,
You serenaded me with my name,
And tasted my skin.
I felt as if the whole world was crashing down
In glorious waves of amber and night...
The next morning I found myself awakening
From a slumber never experienced.
Pushing aside all dignity,
I turned to my partner to hear of the past eve.
Dark hair spread over the red silk
Steady breathing told me dreams were still being made.
I reached for his hand and held it,
Watching the sunlight play hide and seek
Through our fingers.
My skin felt alive
My blood raw
And my body satisfied.
