st. lucy's beauty by Emily G Myershe loved my eyes
windows to my soul
st. lucy's beauty
he said he loved my eyes
did he see my soul
glistening out the windows?
but my name's not baby
like he said
or lucy
still
he loved my eyes
windows to my soul
st. lucy's beauty
she plucked hers out
to keep him from loving her
maybe I should too
but I'm not a saint
and I liked it
when he called me baby 10/20/2003 Author's Note: sometimes strangers say things that get me thinking.
