Deals

by Aaron Howard

You break my heart every time you walk out that door.
I’m here on my knees, begging on the floor.
Asking for my heart in your warm embrace
to be able to wipe that perilous look from your face.
To wrap you up in my adoring grace and affection.
to each other it seems like a positive soul-like connection.
What do you do when you fall head over heels?
When just their voice makes your heart jump and you head reels.
So now you know how love really feels
and forgotten all of your soul-selling deals.
