Dealing Karma by Aaron HowardThe sound of wheels in the driveway gravel.
Feeling that shiver in my spine travel.
A sign of fear, a sign of impending drama.
Just another black spot for my karma.
Just another day that I have to heal.
Just another layer to peel back and reveal.
Just another promise I have to break.
Just something else I'm gonna have to take.
So after all the smoke has cleared
and we find its really the moment we feared.
Do we just try to run away from the pain
and if we do, what will we really gain?
Is life something that should make you run
or is it something that You'd like to consider fun?
Knocking on my door viciously at 3 am looking for me
since love seems to be able to unlock doors with any key.
Love can cure any of your woes
and it can turn your friends into foes.
It can pose a serious emotional problems
and it can satisfy your slightest whims.
So don't think that karma is something given
since to love we're all surely driven.
Be it from your lover or your dad
to anyone and everyone who made you mad.
To the deepest secret that you hold
and to the hand in yours as you grow old.
So don't think that karma is just a present
it's just something that is given and lent.
