A cup of coffee to start my day.
Another job, another chumps pay.
Another thing we have to do.
Another airplane flew.
Another relationship lost.
Do you know the cost?
Do you forget it all tomorrow
or comfort in your pain and sorrow?
Do you smile in knowing your alone
and that there isn't someone by the phone?
Do You jump in repent your reckless abandon
knowing you don't have any feet to land on.
Do you grin at your happiness lost?
Do you even know your loss
Or is that something you tend to forget
and just pass your time in forgotten regret?
Before you found out about what you could get
Before you wigged out and decided to split.
Do you consider her love for you?
or do you think of something new?
Do you forget it all in the past
about love and how you fail to make it last?
