The clever ruse always knows the right path
and the competition can always do the math.
You can always count on someone to let you down
and you can bet that corruption is always under the crown.
So plan a world away and a place in your mind
and maybe one day, inner peace you'll find.
A masterpiece for you to brashly create
and overzealously fill your plate.
Feast your eyes on everything you want
and forget the nightmares that duly haunt.
Run rampant and become who you need to parlay
and when you speak, always know the right thing to say.
Run your finger down the tracks of your arm
and pay yourself back for all the worlds harm.
Pass out in the grass staring at the stars
and spend some time wasting away down at the bars.
Sing to the moon and wish you were somewhere else
and dream back to your youth and the way you felt.
So maybe the clever ruse knows really where to go
and if your early you won't end up missing the show.
