He sounds
a bit
more
Spanish
after a
few beers,
and that's
when we
like each other
most.
He's cute
and charming,
I'm beautiful
and witty,
so together
we laugh
and talk
and drink
and occasionally
lay a hand on
the other's knee
to 'emphasize a point'.
We lie beautifully
to one another,
feeding ourselves
until we're full
so we can walk
away
satisified:
not in love,
but not alone.
