The Love Still Shines...

by Michelle Calhoun

Radiant beams of sunshine
upon my face

As all the while I long,
for your warm embrace

I yearn for your touch,
your soft whisper in my ear

The caress of your hand,
how I long to have you near

A kiss so passionate,
a kiss so long,

It sets my insides ablaze,
it is with you that I belong.

And after all this time,
the love still shines.

Author's Note: To my one true love. This is for all the times that I never told you what you needed to hear. It truly comes from my heart. After 12 years, you still make my heart go pitter-pat. I only hope that it is not too little, too late. I Love YOU Sweetheart! Forever & Always, XOXOXO

So tender and romantic. May those years of love contine on for a long, long time.

Pitter-pat? All this time I was trying for thumpity-thump...lol. Seriously, good poem from the heart. I love you too my dear. Tis not always the words said, but the emotion with which are they are said. You have presented this very well, and the feeling is mutual I assure you.
