The Hard Winter of Rapist's (Think happy thoughts)

by Aaron Howard

The babblings of my personal mantra as I fail to do the things in life that are needed most.
I lounge in the summer when there’s work to be done, I wait till the fall air briskly wakes me from my mid afternoon slumber.
I awake to terror of the impending doom to nature as I know it.. I call her Winter…
She freezes me in her embrace, she nips snot out of my weeping nose.
She caresses my breath into steam with her mere presence.
She enlightens me to how hard it must have been before the days of electricity and smoldering energy.
Back when you had to choose the tree to chop down in summer, so the wood would be cured by winter.
The harshness of this planet is astounding compared to the comfortable laid back environment of today.
Sure we have rapist's and murderer’s, Just back then they were called Savages and Bears…
So think brightly of our happy tomorrow in safety from the horrors of yesteryear.
Crime has only gone downhill since.
