How Can I Go On

by Jacki M Butler

How do you tell someone

That it is over

After loving him for six years.

How do I tell the truth

Without shattering my heart

How do I let go

Of something I never completely had

How do I stop the pain

Living my life without him

How can I go on

You can only understand the feeling of which lies within you. You determine your paths of success although every once and a while you run into a little snag and trip. This is your snag and trip. Sometimes you fall, sometimes you stumble but no matter what, you will always get back up and carry on. But while carrying on, you seem to look down more to see if there are any other snags along the way. I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's ok to feel hurt but you can get back up and keep living your life but you know that you will be watching out for other hardships or snags along the way. As a good friend to you, you know I'm always one to talk, even though I'm having my hardships right now. Hey, maybe it would be a good thing just to talk to each other and calm each other down. Who knows....In poetry: Sensual love lasts forever with friends. Hurting love lasts for a very limited amount of time with another. Love is sweet. Love is cruel. But whenever you need me you will always think of me as your brother. ~Take care and you know where I am if you need me~
