A branches sway against the
soft silky breeze in the dark sky.
The melody floats slowly at
first as it burns into my ears.
I don't understand what your
saying to me as I shake
my head in frustration.

But your voice and the way
you try to make me understand
makes the hook in my heart pull.
I wish I could understand what
you are trying to tell me
in your own way.

So I sit and listen to your
haunting voice over and over,
and hopefully I can understand
what makes you cry in the dark
empty nights.

But I think I know what it is.
I can hear it in your voice.
Your voice speaks for the
sadness in your soft tender heart.
I've been there so many times,
but my own voice seems to
only whisper it.

I can fill the winter wind
on your face each time I listen
to half the pain you feel in
your ballad of how you were
ripped of all the love that
was cheated out of you.

And when the song ends I can
only continue to repeat the
same song over and over till
the meanings can only
shake up the lost memories
of my own mistakes.

So as I sulk and slouch
on the ground of a barren
room with voices that pull
me in a tongue that I
can only understand and
feel I realize that
I do understand you completely.

Author's Note: I don't post two poems per day but I was listening to a song in Japanese. I don't understand it but I read the english lyrics and it made me feel the same sadness I feel. I of course am Korean
