Ask me

by Aaron Howard

So you want to see everything to know
and you have nothing for it to really show.
So bow your head and think real hard
and hope you pick up that magic card.
So you think up your favorite task?
Just don't be too afraid to ask.
So strip yourself down bare
and lose your deepest care.
Wonder if I'm really your only true one.
Wonder if I'm the one with the warm, smoking gun.
So runaway and come back to test my knowledge
and see if I fucked around on you off in college.
See if I'm really who I seem to appear
and make sure to ask softy to hear it all clear.
Ask me about all you fear and despise
and never loose contact with my eyes.
Wonder if you’re ready to lose your single title
and grab this wild stallion by the bridle.
So think up and ask me about my favorite task
and when you spit it out, don't be afraid to ask.

Author's Note: I wrote this about how when you first meet someone, all the questions you have to go through just to find out about that person... to see if they are your type, etc..
