As I think of her (Mary)

by Aaron Howard

I think of her when her eyes gaze into mine...
and when I stare into them, our souls entwine...
Her eyes tell all, and they tell of love...
it runs free as water and flies like a dove..
For I have at last found the one to share...
my most deepest secrets without any care...
When I hold her in my arms, I know she is mine...
and when she kisses me, my whole soul is to shine
I love her dear and no harm shall come to her...
for this decree of love is say and concur...
I need her too much to lose her for not...
I won't be blamed for the one who forgot...
What true love means to this poor mans soul...
for a girl named (This space for rent) who makes my life whole..

Author's Note: I wrote this while I was deeply in love with a girl named Mary.. this, as with all my lovestruck pieces, seem pure to me, but are hell to read and relive... ahhh.. poetry.. you can shuffle it away for a decade, but it's still there... thank god..
