Inhibitions & Stab Wounds by Amanda L Marroni'm lying face down
in the dirt on the ground
feels like i'm suffocating
it's i, you're degrading
i'm holding all these emotions in
they're inhibiting inside until i can no longer keep them within
they want to come flying out at you
proving my feelings are true
strike you with the intensified pain
that your words inflicted upon me again
can't you see all my bruises? my scars
or are you blind from afar?
shielding your eyes as you stab at me
i poke out your windows to the world, so you can't see
you can no longer rape away my innocence
now away from you, i wrench

Posted by Richard Paez on 09/08/04 at 09:12 PM I don't know how you'll fell about this, but this reminds me of Eminem--the quick, spoken, assertive, rap feel of it, the power you put behind it, the way you set up a rhythm and then without disrupting the flow of it break out of the rhythm again. This has a blunt imagery and harsh honestly that I really enjoyed. Another great write, luv. |
