i sit here pondering stupid questions
like if you had a full head of hair
when the doctors handed you back in the delivery room.
you're becoming a little sister to me.
i always wanted one of those.

i thought you'd come to me on christmas morning,
all wrapped up in gossamer
instead, you come, clothed
in words and metaphors
which is twice the gift.

Whoa, this is beautiful-- I think actually without flaw (and you know my editing tendencies all too well)... this sparkles with so much sentiment that I'm fairly blinded...
