He-Said/She-Said: You Know It's True

by Mainon A Schwartz

She said:
there's a shiverfinger alongside my spine
accompanied by apprehension
but warmth is drug
and lasts without preservatives, though i hadn't known that either (till you fed me)
you're a fever and a cooling both at once (wreaking havoc with the thermostat)
oh tell me, what's the temperature of love?

He said:
you remind me of an
AMD Athlon 64 FX-51 Processor and
a 1GB Registered DDR SDRAM PC-3200
which reminds me strangely of a need for a
120GB Seagate Barracuda 8MB Cache
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Ultra 128MB
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2
and baby, did you say something about temperature?
the CPU is something like 78.

(The temperature in a room can vary by twenty degrees
and never even be noticed.)

this is just wild. i love the diff between what he said and she said but how they both seem to make sense and the ending sentence is awesome.

This is definitely an interesting comparison / metaphor. I love it, and not just because of the computer either. ;) (although surprisingly, those specs are almost identical to mine). Really well done, very creative and enjoyable. :)

Ah yes, the age old problem boy and their toys, women and their emotions...will it ever find middle ground. LOL Well done, a good poem of the analogy.
