so say good-bye

by John Ilotan

There is no comfort
in death
there is no solace
when it touches you
so suddenly
unexpectedly leaving you
crumpled and broken
on the side of the road

without having said
good-bye

There is no comfort
in death
there is no solace
when the sky is a summer blue
and a warm breeze
rides through your hair
there is only a separation
a heartbreaking cessation
of acceleration

There is only grief
so say good-bye

this is a very "feeling" piece ... it brings a certain comfort and sadness

Touching. Sad.A helplessly sad acceptance.

acceptance and motivation is wonderfully expressed. As long as we have the motivation to realize and progress the goodbye is the hardest part to get to...this is a revelation.
