dancing with death

by Michele Schottelkorb

there once was a fairly odd girl
her life; a precarious twirl
till one day she died
the angels; they cried
but continue, she did, to whirl

Living without living. The process of life and death walks hand in hand. It all depends on us as to how we live. A brilliant limerick

Goin' through the motions --with style! Great verse with wit and wisdom rolled into one.

Sarah, I opt for your interpretation. Well written.

Wonderful use of a limerick. In the carefree afterlife she gets to whirl away enjoying herself, unlike the danger when she lived.

This is a nicely turned limerick, Michele. One can only wonder if she was perhaps a dervish. Peace...

clever but with depth. #2 read for me (of your poetry) and you get one more vote in my heart - adore (checked yes)
