Prayer for the Work Place

by Cathlyn Cartier

Lord,
Give me wisdom and discernment

Please

Guard
my lips and my tongue,
that I don't speak out of season.

Allow,
me to conduct myself in an honorable fashion,
that my professional ethics are beyond reproach.

Prevent me,
from allowing the frustrations that I feel towards my co-workers to flow over into my work or to color my performance in a negative light.

Maintain
my focus on the light of truth, integrity and honesty.

Remind me,
that thousands of eyes are watching me daily and that what they see in me may be the only witness and testimony of You they ever receive.

I ask this,
not selfishly that I may build myself up,
but I ask for Your will,
that You might receive glory and honor.

Author's Note: This was the closing of my personal journal last night, after a very difficult and trying day.

A humble and worthy prayer. May you receive more than abundant grace. May, indeed, Jesus be seen in you.

An excellent prayer, surely beneficial for getting the help to make it through those difficult days.
