Still Life by Robert Cameron HazeltonWith easel set and pallet full
The landscape of my life unfolds
Such vibrant colors beautiful
Offset the darkness my heart holds
I struggle with expressive hues
To convey a depth I lack
Shining golds and pensive blues
Strive to overcome the black
Pent up shades of deep aggression
Highlight all the pain I feel
Giving me a strong impression
That happiness is quite surreal
A spectrum of uncertainty
Dazzles my untutored eye
This canvas waits impatiently
For vivid strokes to satisfy
My portrait isnt done just yet
The final pose is undefined
Ill brush aside my dark regret
And dab with every tint designed
