That Old Book

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

That Old Book

full of that story I adore

so much-

That old text

with is words describing

the things that my mind dreams-

I am killing it with each read-

Thumbing the pages

yellowed and yellowing further

with my molestation-

I have broken it's spine now-

That Old Book-

But I love it so

I can't stop reading it-

Maybe

masking tape surgery can keep

it on life support

So I can read

That Old Book

at least

Once More-

I like this one a lot, I do the same thing, a couple of my books have fallen into disrepair from being read so often. Good job.
