menacing eyeball (leave me alone)

by Michele Schottelkorb

my eyelids are heavy
soiled and stolen
today a raven sang
and I dipped into the bloodpool
of memories
and leapt off the building
into the clouds

a menacing eyeball
mocked my fatigue
said:
"get over it, woman-child"

if only I could...

breathe

Author's Note: i have felt ill as of late and am having some tests run... most likely it's fatigue... here are my thoughts on those (the menacing "eyeballs") that would continue to place grief on my shoulders... lol

Fatique is very insidious. It creeps up on you and lingers. Hope all turns out well. Great verse.
