A Misleading Heart

by Christopher Shin

My hands such fragile
things gently try to touch
her soft tender snow white skin.
She smiles as her hair
dances against the wind.

Her eyes burn into mine,
and I try to swallow the
nervousness down my throat.
My heart beats faster then
rabbits jumping to escape
the hunters chase.

She smiles and the world
melts away like water colors
in a child's artistic vision.
She bats her eyes at me,
and the ice in my heart melts
away like an ice cube on a skilt.

All I can think about is her
eyes and her smile.
The world is but an empty
shell without her in my life.
She laughs for the first time
since I met her.

Such music that escapes her lips
echo through my ears.
Her laughter brings a smile
to my face.

And slowly my heart that beats
finally explodes from all the
pressure of her being so near.
The warmth fills me with such
possiblities and the wonders
of the world is explained to
me in her eyes and her smiles.

My eyes flutter open and I realize
that memories, similiar to dreams
can sometimes be misleading.

Vibrating with emotions. Day dreaming helps release the repressed desires.Hopes are manifestation of the basic stinct of human being and that is a refined survival.
