stress can kill you

by Michele Schottelkorb

intense pressure blows my mind
(what did you think you'd really find?)
the tension is eating my soul away
(time to hide, no time to play)

blood encircles the toilet lid
(yourself of this plague, you must rid)
numbness threatens with an evil grin
(what have I done? what was my sin?)

fainting every couple of hours
(I am wandering in cold towers)

stress can kill you
(yes, it's true)
I'm dying slowly
(kudos to you)

Author's Note: this is a poem in progress... i rarely go back and mess with what naturally flows, but, since this is actually happening to me, i think i can expound...

The piece does carry the intensity. The tention is like a spring coil. This ought to be released. Writing ( this poem is part of the process), talking out, a loud inner conflict can be of some help.

Poem #5 - I know, the darkest places in me are the ones that end up on paper, too....but I KNOW there is light in there *grinning* because I see it in my adoration :-)
