Dichotomy
by Ken HarnischAh, the dichotomy we present
When coupled madly as we are now
That we should softly converse this way
And render cares away somehow
And how arousing is your worried voice
And how soothing mine is in reply
While madly beating are the wings
That keep us one, and on the fly
A hand that brushes at your hair
Lips that gently crease your own
While fusion inarticulately
Commands all movement down below
We speak, still one above the fray
Then sweetly silent, float away
