Letter To A Friend by Charles M HarrisonMy Dearest Friend,
Something reminded me of you today,
And of how much I miss you since you went away.
Your sweet spirit and gentleness.
How you brought my heart such bliss.
The happy times we shared together,
Your laughter, as light as a feather.
The dark secrets you had buried within,
That you knew you could trust to me, your friend.
The closeness we shared with each other,
Closer than even my sister or brother.
The times we walked down by the river,
And I would hold you close when you would shiver.
The many tears I shed for you,
When you told me what you had been through.
Although you were a woman and I a man.
Physical intimacy was never our plan.
You were a part of my heart, and my soul.
To know yours was my only goal.
It's been to many years since I saw you last,
To much time between us has passed.
Where you are now, I wish I knew,
There are so many things I would say to you.
Most of all I would tell you this,
My friend, your loving heart, I turly miss.
All my love, and always your friend.
I pray some day I will see you again. 04/24/2000 Posted on 09/19/2003 Copyright © 2025 Charles M Harrison
