i will capture you in fiction. i will write your
life into fashionable stanzas, create you as
something of a king, exclude any of your
true faults and include myself in some of the
scenes. i will write me beautiful and powerful,
independant in heart and soul never letting you
near enough to touch me yet you will yearn to hold.
i will write you pining away for me, loving me
with your eyes. i will write me aware of the control i
have and feed you many lies. you will constantly be
in doubt and spend your days alone, depressed while
i take pleasure in everyone because that's what
the me i write does best. and you will love me harder
and harder the further i slip away but i will only laugh
and say to you whatever i think you want me to say.
i will write everything so fancy, i will write me so cool.
however, here the fiction wavers a bit for you will still be
a fool. but i will write the me i need to be and create
a pitiful mess out of you and do the things i should have
done in real life, all those things i couldn't do. and in
this fiction world i make, you, my love, will finally see
what it is to love someone who is determined not to love
you back, just as you did to me in this world that is as
non-fiction as can be.
