Saturday Morning by Beth K HannahThese love letters I write to you
Are my simple sentiments
Of the fact that I am complete
Only when feeling your skin.
It's hard for a girl like me
To love a boy a like you
Such confidence, such strength
When I can barely get up in the morning.
Some how you see through my dizzying facade
And let me know you care
That I am splendid, wonderful
Somebody you could dance with forever.
As early morning light twists through your hair
Every one of your imperfections are radiant
I trace your freckles and scars with my lips
Shielding you from being stolen by unearthly beings .
I watch you sleep at times
Catching your sighs of satisfaction and content
Knowing I cause you happiness illuminates me
I can ask for nothing more from life.
Your love is enough. 09/13/2003 Author's Note: "Love is a burning thing, and it makes a fiery ring. I fell for you like a child, but oh, the fire was wild." Johnny Cash
This is dedicated to my daydreams of such a morning. I am sure they are lovely.
