[Library] Static Dynamo by Nikki RiceMessy hair and dry eyes
so dry I'm begging for tears to come
Tired (so tired) everyday
Monotony is worsening it 20 fold
My dynamic character has settled in her ways,
without my permission.
Patterns.
I hate them.
Just like even numbers.
I would rather be a 1 than a 10,
undivided and prime.
If 1 isn't enough for you, so be it.
There are things I know I'll never be:
beautiful, vengeful, elitist...
And there are things I wish I were:
beautiful, vengeful, elitist...
Selfish and unforgiving, I'd get my way.
But I'm not and I never will.
Because I am a 1, not a 10 -
undivided and prime,
fearing nothing more
than the staticity that is swallowing me. 09/13/2003

| Posted by Jason Wardell on 09/17/03 at 05:44 PM Wonderful piece! When feelings like this hit (and they do..) I find it's best to do something, anything, to break the monotony. That's usually able to cheer me up quite a bit. Great poem, here, to which I can really easily relate. :) |
