Stolen Pleasure by Siri LipscombShe devoured the idea slowly First with her eyes In restrained measured glances Nearing it shyly but eagerly Savoring every delicious thought
The wafting subtle scent Caught her by surprise The air redolent with Fresh earthy aroma Mother Natures gift
She closed her eyes and Buried her face in the Wondrous mystery of smell Desire so familiar so new
She stole a furtive look-about No one to witness Her imminent transgression Then nibbled delicately That she should not disturb The natural blending of style And Gods design
She touched it gently with her tongue Its heat enough to bring her Fully in the moment She put her face in it and Moaned with gluttonous delight
The sound of a car door The slam of the back door The kitchen Busted He found her there Purple from neck to nose
A very disturbed blueberry cobbler Enticing as a good habit Sat before her Its usually perfect form Distorted and gouged
He laughed and licked the errant Blueberry from her sheepish face Then scooped her up, licked her again And carried her to bed

Posted by JD Clay on 09/16/03 at 12:49 PM I love the way this piece starts out with a luring, provocative tone, lingers a while then lands smack-dab in a cobbler, only to finish where you had hoped it would in the first place. What an enjoyable poem.
