Sweet September

by Becca Morton

The sweet reminiscence of summer lingers in my mind

The sound of burning leaves crackles through the night air

The breeze is solemn, yet blissful as it ruffles my hair

The trees are like dancers swaying so swiftly under the moon<

Everything is so beautiful, so serene, so September

The grass is refreshingly moist from the early morning dew

The birds sweet songs echo through the trees

The sight of the rising sun makes the trees glisten

The leaves constantly changing into new, fragrant colors

Everything is so beautiful, so serene, so September

Yes, this sounds so beautiful, so serene. You have successfully captured the scene. Its like what it is. So september.

I was thinking along those same lines as I stepped outside this morning to look around. How sweet it is....

Beautiful, a picture painted with words. Nice poem to find on a grey, rain soaked day such as this one.
