The strangest things are found
balancing on the curb of this high water mark -
I’ve had a lot of time to go over
all the clever ways you found
to push me off ) ) ) in the distance
thinking nothing
of your hand crafted paper boats
that I’m sailing on

Maybe you’re too mind like
trying to understand a poet’s broken heart
or even his happy one
I thought someday
you would find a picture to frame
from my photographic soul
But I can’t get caught up
in the mentality of maybes and somedays

You never could hear this love
Never could appreciate the melodic lines
Over your own Voice
Or feel the chill run up your arms
when harmonic relationships move together
while retaining their true individuality
you never would allow us to meet at the counterpoint

its everyday I wish you could feel this
everyday passing much faster in the summer
that your living without knowing
and like a child should know how sugars
melt down in the mouth
over-whelming all the senses
you should know
this love

It's a shame you have the choice
not to

I really like the fourth stanza and the closing two lines of this piece.. You created a really great conclusion. Wonderful work.

broken heart, or happy one, I like that, very appealing idea. I relate very well to this poem, I think that is the best feeling, when I can relate to someone elses poetry. good stuff
