a poser in my soul by Kalikala Smithi lifted her up
i gave her permission to lie
i lifted her up
i gave her permission to die.
and it freed me
from the pain i felt so long
she was in me
tearing at me for so long.
and i can finally breathe
and i can finally see
what is life.
i lifted her up
i gave her the will to move on
i lifted her up
i gave her the hope to be strong.
and it moved me
out of my empty shell
she was in me
making my life a worn hell.
and i can finally breathe
and i can finally see
what is life. 09/02/2003 Author's Note: sometimes all your demons need to hear is "leave"

Posted by Carl Walker on 09/04/03 at 10:37 PM I must say I find this poem exciting, makes me want to dance with joy. in his book "Wild at Heart" John Eldrdge talks about the "poser" within a man. I am finding freedom from the poser within me as well.
excellent capture in words of a concept every honest person must deal with
excellent excellent, I recommend POTD
