what is between us

by Olivia Weinkein

she could stop you dead in traffic.
she has this way of wearing her thighs
and most people dig the cool and
collected way she wears a smile,
shifted slightly in the palm of her hand.
she isn't one to get ran over, ya know.
a girl like that doesn't fall so easy.
a girl like that doesn't fall.
and you want to know her.
you want to like her.
you want to tame her.
you may even want to love her.
but i only want to hate her for taking
up the road and
for blocking my view
of you.

Another very excellent observation about men that are attracted to bright shiny objects. Great read.
