Java-Swing

by Trisha De Gracia

I fill my morning coffee cup
with dirty old jazz tunes
a swinging rhthym
rappatapping, off-beat sax wailing
trumpet growls and bass thumps
slow sizzle finishes
4 bar vamps and classic
swanky
purple-orange-green toned notes
improv, 4/4 time
circa 1920, flapper era
All-That-Jazz, "Chicago" style
Flash! Bam!
Al-a-ka-ZAM!
Satchmo's, Dizzy's and Billie's blues
and to top it off
double-double cream and sugar.

This one is amazing! So descriptive and upity. (P.S. You're not supposed to drink coffee.)

Excellent language usage! Great verse that really gets your toes a tapping in a caffiented, jazzy beat!
