Ælfsheen

by Melina Raven Maness Diebold

Fall brings petaled posey toes

kissing the brooke in her summer clothes...

Leaves float doubly golden in the sun

Once the trees' striptease has begun...

Not leaving one spot of earth alone

Each trembled descension, each day gone...

Til at last dame December breaks the scene

jealous, ushering in her silver Ælfsheen...

Beautiful earthy images that speak directly of fantasy and reunion with nature. Great read.
