Would you ever suspect the one you love

Of betrayal so deep it makes your heart bleed

I know I certainly never expected that

Yet it happens, more often that not

After all, who would expect a lover

Of such treachery and deceit

How could one, once so loved

So quickly transform into one so hated

It makes no sense

Yet it happens, more often that not.
