[and it's all a game
in love and war
and these little lies
don't fool us anymore]

you're pushing through crowds
to push limits
and seep into scandal
like a tabloid reporter.
if only you'd leave
well enough alone
maybe some of us could
rebuild our broken lives.
but that's never been
your method of play
and somewhere between
the training and the task
you lost your sense of decency.
secrecy is a concept foreign to you
and the lies you tattoo on your heart
are only breaking skin over and over
in the same thrashed little spot.
if they injected you with
some semblance of conscience
it would only solidify in your veins
you are the new dealer
in this scandal craving world

[they're all strung out
on account of your dealing
it's not real life
just another false feeling]
