(pain)ted

by Beth K Hannah

Glitter glitter glitter
Did you escape the earthquakes?
Or did you finally accept them
As a part of being alive?

I can't understand
How or why the moon's shine
Frequents my lowely heart ache
Or why the sun has to bring
Out all the glorious people
Who never have time
To dwell on the minutes seconds hours
Of an unbeautiful life

I am drowning in seas of
Dissatisfaction and
(pain)ted hopes.
I try to explain the ineptitude I have
How I can't control my feet
Or my skin
It's like a mirror is placed in my palms
You just glint off like the sun.

Author's Note: I hate this poem...but it said "post me! Post me!" So I did.

This is an interesting reflection, Beth. It does offer a glimmer of hope, so I can't see why you would leave an authors note in a negative light. Peace...

I like it, but seeing as you called me such a horrid thing last night...I will love it to spite you;)

And of course it should say 'post me!', because it's good stuff. I like the picture that the mirrors in the palms makes, trying to catch something beautiful only for it to be impossible. Thoughtful poem.
